Roughly peel your apples. I peeled about 75% of each apple, leaving some skin. This is optional. You can leave the peel on or off.
Chop your apples into 1 inch chunks and put it in the slow cooker. Add lemon juice, water, cinnamon, and nutmeg into the slow cooker with the apples and combine well.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours until the apples have been broken down. They will still partly be in chunks but it will be very soft. Use a potato masher and mash until your desired consistency. Or you can just stir it until you get a smooth consistency. The apples will break down even more.
Let it cool and enjoy!
You can store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. Mine definitely did not last that long though.
