One of my nightly drinks is this superfood cacao hot chocolate. I’m always craving hot chocolate when it’s cold outside. I don’t always like going out to get hot chocolate because it’s usually just made with syrup and way too sweet.
2cupsunsweetened almond milk (or any non-dairy milk)
2tbspcacao powder
1tbsppure maple syrup (add to taste)
1/4tspvanilla extract
Instructions
Heat the almond milk in a small pot on medium low heat. Bring to a simmer and turn off the heat. Whisk in the cacao powder, maple syrup, and vanilla until well combined and there are no clumps.
Taste and see if you want it more sweet or less. I like my hot chocolate on the darker side.
