Healthy Protein Puppy Chow (vegan, gluten-free, oil-free, refined sugar free)

This healthy protein puppy chow is legit so addicting and the perfect snack when that sweet craving hits. It’s a healthier version of your favorite childhood puppy chow or muddy buddies. You only need 4 ingredients and less than 5 minutes to make this yummy treat.

I could not stop eating it and you can use your favorite protein powder. I did half vanilla and half chocolate protein powder from Nuzest (use code “NUTSABOUTGREENS15” to save $$). I decided to eat a bowl with almond milk and it tasted just like Reese’s Puffs cereal. I was in heaven and so dang good. This healthy protein puppy chow did not last more than 2 days in my house. You have got to make this ASAP!

Healthy Protein Puppy Chow (vegan, gluten-free, oil-free, refined sugar free)

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Chex cereal (I used corn Chex)
  • 1/4 cup natural drippy peanut butter (or any nut/seed butter)
  • 1/4 cup dairy free chocolate chips/chunks
  • 2 heaping scoops vanilla or chocolate protein powder (I used half vanilla half chocolate @nuzest_usa protein powder. Use code NUTSABOUTGREENS15 to save $$)

Instructions

  • In a big glass bowl, add the peanut butter and chocolate. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring after each until melted. Mine took about 1 minute and 15 seconds. Careful not to burn your chocolate.
  • Pour in the Chex cereal and stir with a spoon until everything is evenly coated. Add the protein powder and stir again until evenly coated. Alternatively, you could add the Chex to a big container with a lid and add the protein powder and shake until combined.
  • Enjoy! Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
